Marita Setas Ferro was born in 1967 in Beira, Mozambique.
Completed the Master’s thesis in Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts in Oporto, 2009, “The garment as artistic three-dimensional object” (18/20) directed by Professor Sculptor Carlos Barreira and co-directed by Sculptor Joana Vasconcelos.

Founder and Board President of Between Parallels – Ass. for Design and Sustainable Development. Board member of Portugal à Mão, Association for the study of artisanal productions. Board member of Agência INOVA – Association for Culture and Creativity. Founder and associative leader of AICART – Association of Cultural and Artistic Initiatives.
Artisan professional card and craft production unit since 2012. Developed activity as a trainer in the areas of craft, design, textiles, fashion and in Arts – Sculpture. Has been developing sculptures in textiles materials, thread, wool and leather, creating the “Soft Works” series and “Wearable Sculptures”.
Create and developed concepts, texts, images and color palettes for Fashion Trends
Created Marita Moreno brand in 2008 with a focus on integrating Portuguese textile craft in fashion – clothes, shoes and bags. Since 2015 have developed the accessories (shoes and bags) and promote the brand internationally at New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Paris fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week. At 2017 the brand became more sustainable in terms of social responsibility, materials used, ways of production, company transparency. In September 2019 Marita Moreno won international MOMAD prize “Moda, Sostenibilidad y Negócio”.
In 2019 considered one of Top 100 Women in Fashion Tech by Women of Wearables.
In 2020 Marita Moreno was nominated (Dali Azores Shoes) for the Green Product Award.
